No Thursday Thirteen. Frankly, I've got too much going on to spend time on it. I am down to the final words on the current work in progress which is now called THE SWEETHEART DANCE. I like it when the title suggests itself from the story. I'm looking forward to typing THE END sometime this weekend. Of course, I will immediately be turning to edits, but that's okay.
My grandson is sick. Anne and I spent three hours in the emergency room with him last night. His temperature was hovering around 103 degrees all day. He has the current virus that apparently every child in Arlington has AND all of them were in the emergency room last night! LOL! Evidently, it is a week long virus of high fever, congestion, and overall feeling icky.
Our nice weather from yesterday (70 degrees and sunshine) disappeared. Today, it is 35 degrees, with heavy rain turning to snow. We are hold up in the house, fire in the fireplace, a pork roast in the oven, and the kids all home playing Rock Band. Yes it's a tad noisy for constructive writing.
Finally, we DVRed the finale from Project Runway and I was disappointed that Jillian lost. She was my favorite. I was surprised it was Christian, but he is a very talented designer. I had never heard of this show until the writers strike and we were sick of reruns and started surfing other channels, like Oxygen, Bravo, etc. Becca got me hooked and the marathon of repeats to "catch up" on the competition was helpful. So You Want to Be a Supermodel, Tim Dunn's show, and Janice Dickinson's Modeling Agency became favorites, too.
So that's my update for today. Hope everyone is staying warm and finds something today that makes you smile.
