The book cover for THE DADDY SPELL arrived in my email box yesterday. {BIG SMILE!}
Ok, so now the whole thing seems real, like I'm being taken seriously, like this is really going to happen. EEEEK! [Pause please. Watch Patti snoopy dance! YEE HAW!]
The cover was created by Angela Anderson at The Wild Rose Press. While I provided a few ideas, I was stunned by the cover for more reasons than I think it's pretty neat. One of my motivational techniques is to develop a book cover for each manuscript I've written. It always makes it seem like a real story, a real book, something people would buy. That keeps me churning out words. I didn't use this 'fake' one for promotions, because the picture was copyrighted - Neil Faulkner's "Door Stop", available at Allposters.com. Here's a look at that fake picture.
Now, Angela had no way of knowing that. It isn't something that was included in my many suggestions. So, without further ado, here's my book cover. Tell me what you think of the uncanny resemblence to my first 'fake' cover.
Is this wierd vibes or is THE DADDY SPELL at work?
