Where Does One Begin

My first blog post - here anyway - and I'm contemplating where to begin. The lazy days of summer are upon me and I'm finding 'lazy' to be the operative word. Although, 100 degree days don't call for much else except lounging on a floatie in the swimming pool and drinking gallons of iced tea. I've been begging for this kind of weather, so I'm not complaining.

Updates on all things Colt: 6 weeks to grandson's due date - daughter sick of being pregnant; MAJ Hubbie gets promoted to LTC (for those not military, that means my husband was just promoted from a major to a lieutenant colonel. WOOHOO!); great vacation to the San Dimas Fredericksen's with lots of sightseeing and lazy days in the swimming pool. I'm building a habit here.

Update on all things Patti Ann Colt: The Daddy Spell is still at Wild Rose Press awaiting a decision. Expecting to hear any day now . . . of course, I've had bated breath since May 31st when I sent the FULL. Writing is slow going - lazy days of summer interfering. Working on Chapter 6 of current WIP - squeeking out 500 words a day - EGADS! And, while I have a full list of goals for the remainder of the year, I'm feeling somewhat unmotivated - dare I blame the lazy summer again?!
